Yuvraj Singh‘s six 6’s off England’s pace bowler Stuart Broad at Kingsmead in Durban during the inaugural 2007 World T20 is considered to be one of the most famous scenes of Indian cricket history.

It is also a common knowledge that Yuvraj was being provoked by the English cricketer Andrew Flintoff just before the magical over. But, what actually transpired between Yuvi and Flintoff was never revealed.

In an interview with former Bollywood actress Simi Garewal for Star World, Yuvi recalled the incident and revealed the exact words used by the two cricketers.

The conversation went like this :

Flintoff: Those were f***ing ridiculous shots
Yuvraj: F*** you
Flintoff: Excuse me?
Yuvraj: You heard what I said
Flintoff: I will cut your throat off
Yuvraj: You see this bat in my hand. You know where I am gonna hit you with this bat?

When asked whether the heated exchange of words charged him up, Yuvraj said, “It got me really worked up. I was really angry and I just wanted to hit every ball out of the ground, just give it back. Sometimes, it’s good for you. Sometimes, it backfires. But on that day, I think it backfired them.”
