In the latest ICC cricket rankings for ODI batsmen, South African batsmen AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla are at the 1st and 3rd place respectively. Indian Test Captain Virat Kohli is placed between the duo at number 2.

Amla is followed by the two New Zealanders Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill, who are separated by one rating point. Sri Lankan ace-cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan and England’s consistent middle order batsman Joe Root are the only lone survivors of their team.

Indian ODI openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan also feature in the list. Quinton de Kock is the third South African to be a part of the ICC top 10 rankings.

Surprisingly, the number one ranked team Australia do not have a single batsman in the top ten.
