Team India’s most successful captain MS Dhoni recently traveled all the way from his hometown Ranchi to Jalandhar for the launch of the official trailer of his biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The untold story’.
Dhoni who came on a special charter plane, recalled his initial cricketing days when he used to travel by train, which took three days to reach Jalandhar, from where he purchased his bats.
“Jalandhar and Meerut hold a significant place in my life and heart. No cricketer can ever forget his connection with these two cities, known for their world-class handcrafted bats,” said Dhoni.
Dhoni was accompanied by film director Neeraj Pandey and Fox Stars Studios CEO Vijay Singh at the trailer launch.

Pandey also shared that the film was shot at real locations, where actor Sushant Singh Rajput practiced for three hours daily on the ground with the coach, trainer and support staff to make it a real to reel experience. “The story of being a ticket collector to iconic cricketer needs to be told,” he added.
Claiming that winning ‘World Cup 2011’ was the most significant turning moment of his life, Dhoni said, “There is no substitute for hard work dedication, sacrifice, being honest to yourself in life,” he said.
