On Day 4 of the ongoing Third Test match between India and West Indies at Gros Islet, cricket fans and players had a mighty scare when Indian batsman Rohit Sharma was hit on the backside of his helmet while fielding.
This all happened when Ravichandran Ashwin was bowling the 38th over of the West Indies innings. West Indies left-handed batsman Darren Bravo went low and swept hard and Rohit Sharma, who was fielding at forward short leg was hit hard on the back side of his helmet.
This incident brought back the horrifying memories of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes, who died after he was hit at the same spot. However, Rohit is all well and was seen smiling after which everybody seemed a bit relaxed. Murali Vijay was also seen helping Rohit with an ice bag.
