Yuvraj Singh’s best advice to look good and stay fit



Indian dashing all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has recently launched his clothing line You We Can (YWC).

But while he enlisted the help of designers Shantanu and Nikhil for the socially responsible fashion line, Yuvraj still believed that the best way to look good isn’t buried in the back of your closet or trotted out on runways — it’s in the gym.


In an interview, the 34 year old said, “All fashion revolves around a fit body”. “I have been studying fashion for a long time and it changes ever so often. At the moment, I feel that the more athletic you are and fitter you are, the better clothes look on you.”

Yuvi took two-and-a-half years to battle back to form, sticking to a rigorous diet and exercise schedule. After returning from France, where he underwent multiple sessions of Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber therapy to repair the damaged tissue, the all-rounder had to completely rethink his food habits.

“I learned a lot about diets, and how to cut down body weight and be in shape,” he said.

Apart from an intense running regimen, Yuvi concentrated on eating good carbs and more of protein. He took brown rice instead of normal rice and used gluten-free atta instead of wheat roti. Sticking to this diet helped him maintain good health and stay fit.

“When you look good, you feel good about yourself and it feeds your confidence. It feeds into everything you do in life,” he added.
