The movie M.S. Dhoni : The Untold Story is all set to release on 30th September. The biopic is about India’s limited overs captain MS Dhoni‘s journey in the world of cricket.
“It shows my childhood, playing football and then cricket. I was slightly lagging behind in cricket. Then, I went to Kharagpur,” a smiling Dhoni said during a promotional event on Saturday.
“For me results are not always important. I am aware in India winning matters a lot,” he said. “If I believed what I am doing is right, I never backed out, for what is important is doing right things at the right time.”
Dhoni also revealed that his biggest inspiration was playing for the country. “It is the same for any sportsperson. Not everybody gets a chance to play for India. And, to represent for 15 years is something special and cherish,” said Captain Cool.
On 24th September 2007, India beat Pakistan to clinch the inaugural T20 World Cup held in South Africa. Dhoni recalled the win as a fantastic achievement that was possible only because of the team effort.
“We had to take some tough decisions. And, we also knew exactly who should bowl the bowl-outs in that edition. The result was something very special for all of us,” added Mahi.
