The movie ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ based on the life of India’s most successful captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has created a lot of buzz all over the internet since the day of its release.
The biopic shows the journey of Dhoni from his childhood till he becomes India’s World Cup winning captain.
Dhoni’s brief professional life as ticket collector has been perfectly depicted in the movie. Till the intermission the biopic revolved mostly around his relationship with his friends – Seemant Lohani (Chittu), Subash and Paramjit Singh (Chottu bhaiya). They all were with Dhoni at every stage of his career from the very beginning.
Recently, some unknown truths have been revealed which were not clearly shown in the movie.
Paramjit Singh was quoted saying : “It was shot six months ago. Dhoni bhai called me and I readily agreed to shoot”.
Paramjit also told that he never goes to the stadium to watch matches. “I still watch matches on my small TV here.”
He continues, “We all played club cricket together for Royal Club. I stopped when I opened this shop and he (Dhoni) never stopped playing.”
Keshav Banerjee, Dhoni’s first coach, who persuaded him to shift to wicket-keeping from goal-keeping in the Jawahar Vidya Mandir school, has revealed that Mahi did not run away from his job of a Ticket-Collector rather than he resigned from his duties. This is in contrary to the scenes from the biopic ‘M.S. Dhoni : The Untold Story’.
“He actually resigned from the railway job,” Banerjee said. “They wanted to show it as a change of scene I guess. If any government official runs away, police will register a FIR against that person. Why will Dhoni do that?”
Chachal Bhattacharya, Dhoni’s another coach, said “When he was named in the India A squad, he resigned.”
