Virat Kohli (born on 5th November 1988) is the captain of Team India in Tests and its vice-captain in limited-overs formats.
Widely regarded as one of the maverick batsmen in the world, Kohli is one of the few players to have found success in all three formats of the game and has scored centuries in Tests, ODI’s and T20 matches in his glittering career.
The right-hander first made headlines way back in 2008, when India won its second Under-19 Cricket World Cup under his leadership in Malaysia. But then, nobody could have imagined that this player would become the talk of the town with people comparing him to Sachin Tendulkar, who is often referred to as the ‘God of Cricket’.
Currently, Kohli plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has been the team’s captain since 2013.
