Former Indian cricketer and father of Yuvraj Singh, Yograj Singh, will not attend his son’s wedding ceremony to be held on November 30.
Yograj, who married again after divorcing Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam Singh said, “It is my misfortune that I will not be attending the traditional wedding of my son being organised at a dera in Punjab. I had told Yuvraj’s mother that I will not attend the wedding if it is solemnised at any dera or involves any religious guru. It’s destiny, I will not go (to the wedding). I only believe in god, and not religious gurus.”
‘Man of the series’ of ODI World Cup 2011, Yuvraj Singh, is getting married to British-Mauritian model and Bollywood actress Hazel Keech.
However, Yograj clarified that he will be attending the Mehendi function on the request of his son at Hotel Lalit on November 29.
“I won’t even go to the house of my father uninvited. But I will attend the mehendi function at Hotel Lalit on November 29. I was invited with respect by my son and my name is printed on the invites. I will go there as my son wants me to be there,” he said.
Yograj also said that November 29 ceremony is the only one that he will be attending and won’t go to other functions planned in Delhi and Goa early in December.
