Here’s how Irfan Pathan replied to a Pakistani girl on why he plays for India despite being Muslim

Irfan Pathan recently, recalled an interesting incident when he was asked by a Pakistani girl that why was he playing for India, despite being a Muslim.

Irfan was answering questions at an event in Nagpur when he recalled this incident which happened in Lahore.

The cricketer replied to the girl’s question and said, “It is a matter of pride for me to play for India.”

Pathan said that this incident motivated him to keep striving to be better. But he also pointed out to the many other moments in his career that give him pride.

The Baroda all-rounder added that the most memorable out of those is getting India cap from Sourav Ganguly on his debut during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in 2003.
