South Africa and England players to leave IPL early

Owing to the packed International schedule, the South African and English players will not be available to play complete edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year.

The Proteas team will leave the league by May 7, while the England players will quit the tournament in two batches. One batch will depart by May 1 while the rest by May 14.

South Africa is scheduled to tour England in mid-May, also, the Champions Trophy starts from June 1 in England, and both the International teams have cited these reasons as to why they are calling back their players.

Jos Buttler IPL

Currently, AB de Villiers (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Faf du Plessis (Rising Pune Supergiants), JP Duminy, Quinton de Kock and Chris Morris (Delhi Daredevils), David Miller and Hashim Amla (Kings XI Punjab) have been retained by their respective franchises, along with England’s Jos Buttler (Mumbai Indians) and Sam Billings (Delhi Daredevils).

There are 13 South Africans and 7 English players who are going to go under the hammer on 20th February in Bangalore.

Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Farhaan Behardien, Wayne Parnell, Lungi Ngidi, Andile Phehlukwayo, Dwaine Pretorius, Kyle Abbott, Theunis de Bruyn, Christian Joker, Robbie Frylinck, Rassie van der Dussen, David Wiese are the South Africans included in the list of 351 players for the auction while Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes, Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Tymal Mills and Johnny Bairstow are the English players.

Meanwhile, the IPL 2017 will begin in early April and will stretch till late May.
