Here’s why Virat Kohli left the ball off the left-arm spinner Steve O’ Keefe

India lost the first Test match of a 4 match series against Australia by a huge margin of 333 runs. On a turning track, the Indian batsmen lost their wickets to a young Australian spinner, Stephen O’Keefe in both the innings.

After the match, speaking of O’Keefe’s performance at the press meet, Indian skipper Virat Kohli stated that the ball turned too much for his spinners and that might be the reason for the Australian batsman not edging the ball.

On a funny note, he added that he is confused whether he should be happy that the ball was turning so much, or he should be sad that the spinners with less turn are getting wickets.

Talking about his own wicket, Kohli accepted his mistake. “I didn’t judge the ball properly. I should have waited a bit more before leaving the ball. I think I left it too early,” he added.
