Ravichandran Ashwin equals Dale Steyn’s Test record in the Ranchi Test

On the final day of the recently concluded 3rd Test between India and Australia in Ranchi, after dismissing the Aussie batsman Glenn Maxwell, India’s Ravichandran Ashwin equalled South African speedster Dale Steyn‘s Test record for the most number of wickets taken by a bowler in a single season.

The off-spinner now has 78 wickets in this season, the same number that Steyn took in the 2007/08 season.
