IPL 2017: Delhi Daredevils’ Quinton de Kock ruled out of the upcoming season

Delhi Daredevils’ wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock has been ruled out of the upcoming 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he is advised rest to nurse his finger injury.

D Kock sustained a finger injury on the third day of the Wellington Test against New Zealand and had X-rays done on the finger.

Therefore, he has been advised to take at least four weeks to recover from the injury. Cricket South Africa has ruled him out of the IPL 2017 in order to keep him fit for the Champions Trophy and the England Test series that follows the quadrennial event.

Having already lost JP Duminy for the upcoming season, De Kock’s injury has now come as a major blow to Delhi Daredevils.
