David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan creates new IPL record

During a T20 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing IPL, which was played at the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai, the SRH openers David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan added 81 runs for the first wicket.

The duo has now recorded 14 number of fifty-plus stands in IPL while opening, which is the most number of fifty-plus stands for any opening pair in IPL history. They went past Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay pair who had thirteen 50+ stands for the first wicket in IPL while playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
