Gautam Gambhir picks the best captain he has played under

Gautam Gambhir is one of the best opening batsmen Indian cricket has ever produced. He is the best mixture of class with aggression.

Gambhir has helped Team India twice in lifting the ICC World Cups, first in 2007 against Pakistan with his 75 run knock in the World T20 finals and then in ICC ODI World Cup final against Sri Lanka with his crucial knock of 97 runs.

Well, the current skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders is having a good time in the IPL thus far. He has been leading the team from the front with strong performances at the top order. His captaincy has been top notch too.

The elegant opener has learned a lot from the captains he has played under in the past
and in a recent interview, for Star Sports India when TV anchor Jatin Sapru asked Gambhir to name the best captain he has played under.

The southpaw took his time and said that he has had the privilege of playing many successful Indian captains. He made his International debut under the captainship of Sourav Ganguly. Later, he played under Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli’s captaincy. But after giving it a good thought, Gambhir named MS Dhoni as the best captain he has played under.
