Indian Test captain Virat Kohli sent his congratulatory message to P.V. Sindhu for progressing through to the Women’s Singles Badminton Final at Rio Olympics 2016 on Thursday.

The 27-year-old, who is currently in Trinidad, competing in the final test of the series against the West Indies, took to his Facebook page to express his delight over the Indian reaching the final.

“Hi PV Sindhu, I want to congratulate you for guaranteeing India its first silver medal at (Rio) Olympics. You have made the country so so proud. Tomorrow it is going to be an epic battle. It is going to be an epic clash.

“So, I wish you all the best, all the way from here in the West Indies. I hope you bring gold for the country but nonetheless whatever happens you are a champion. And I send you all the power and all the wishes. Good luck to you. Jai Hind!” Kohli said.
