Indian fans waited with bated breath for the release of movies related to the life of famous cricketers MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, which got released respectively in September last year and in May this year.
The audience got to know their favourite stars more closely now, since the untold truths of both MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have been depicted pefectly in the movies MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Sachin: A Billion Dreams.
Since it’s the season of the biopic in the Bollywood, a new entrant to show her fondness for this genre is actress Sonakshi Sinha.
Speaking to Times of India at the launch of a sports brand’s showroom, Sonakshi said that she wants to be a part of a sports-based movie, particularly if it is based on India’s female cricketers.
“I used to play sports like volleyball and tennis in school, so I would love to feature in a sports film. The trouble is that there are so many Indian women doing so well in the field of sports, such as Sania and Saina and countless others, that it’s tough to choose. The Indian women’s cricket team is doing so well these days and yet, not many talk about them and the focus remains on the men’s team. Nobody really comes out and speaks about them, so I think theirs could be a really interesting story to put out there. I think that would be a really cool film and I’d love to be a part of it” said Akira fame actress.
