Harsha Bhogle picks his ‘Dream India Test XI’

Popular cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has recently picked his ‘Dream India Test XI’. The team he picked includes only those cricketers whom Harsha has watched live over the years.

In collaboration with Cricbuzz.com, the 55-year old, who has lent his voice to numerous iconic contests, chose iconic spinner as well as current head coach, Anil Kumble to lead the team.

In his typical self-effacing manner, Bhogle began, “I must confess that I am not very good at this (selecting all-time XIs). What’s the best way to do it, can you speak with a certain degree of authority (of those from the past)? The likes of Vijay Hazare, Vinoo Mankad, Subash Gupte and even Bishen Singh Bedi whom I watched a little bit?”

Bhogle didn’t pick Sourav Ganguly in his side and went for Mohammad Azharuddin in his place. He also picked another stylish Hyderabadi batsman VVS Laxman in his dream India Test XI.

Bhogle, who commentated in most of the matches featuring India in the last decade has picked Ravichandran Ashwin among all the cricketers who are currently performing for the Indian Cricket Team.

Harsha Bhogle’s dream Test XI:

Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammad Azharuddin, VVS Laxman, Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Anil Kumble (c), Zaheer Khan
