Gautam Gambhir praises Rahul Dravid for declining the honorary doctorate

Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who is very active on the social media, has supported Rahul Dravid‘s gesture of declining the honorary doctorate degree which was conferred to him by the Bangalore University.

Dravid, who is currently the coach of India U-19 and India A, declined the Honorary Doctorate saying he would like to earn it by doing some research in sports.

After this news, Gambhir praised the former Indian captain’s decision and wrote, “Proud of Rahul Dravid for declining honorary doctorate of Bangalore University. He says he wants 2 earn it and that is the way it should be.” He also added that, “I’ve always maintained decorative, honorary positions should NEVER happen whatever d profession. My country needs Real Heroes, not honorary.”
