On day 1 of the second Test match, the history repeated itself as once again, after Pune, another Indian opener Abhinav Mukund fell early in the innings, followed by Cheteshwar Pujara just ahead of lunch.

Team India were bowled out for just 189 runs in their first innings, because of the masterclass from the Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon.
