Joe Root reveals his all-time playing XI

England batting mainstay Joe Root has picked his all-time XI, consisting some of the best players to have graced this game.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar are the two Indian players to find a place in Root’s all-time squad.

The right-hander has also picked three Australian players in the form of Shane Warne, Mitchell Johnson and Glenn McGrath in his team.

Root chose his teammate Alastair Cook as captain of the playing XI.

He included Michael Vaughan and Andre Flintoff as the other two English players.

Former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara is the wicketkeeper in the XI whereas Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers are Root’s best choice of South African players who have played along with him.
