WATCH: The bizarre run-out of Dwayne Smith against the Delhi Daredevils

IPL 2017: During a match against the Delhi Daredevils, the Gujarat Lions opener Dwayne Smith produced a slothy effort while completing a run and was dismissed in a bizarre fashion.

This happened in the fourth over of the Lions innings, when Smith played the first ball bowled by Daredevils pacer Mohammed Shami towards the backward square leg region and ran for a single.

But what transpired was a scene of utter farce with Smith getting run out by miles, though, he could have easily completed a run. The right-hander batsman reacted a bit slow and didn’t even put on a dive to avoid himself from getting out.
