Here’s the reason why Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon did not play Sakshi’s role in MS Dhoni’s biopic

While Bollywood beauties Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were top contenders to play Sakshi Dhoni in the biopic of India’s most successful skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Kiara Advani bagged the role.

Kiara beat the likes of Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, who were in the running for the film. But the actress who was just seen in a brief role in Fugly seemed like a perfect choice for the film.

But Why? It was the freshness that got her the role, a source told DNA.

“It was quite challenging to find the right casting for Sakshi as people at large have seen enough of Sakshi and the comparison is very obvious. The director always wanted a young actor in the film – not someone who has done many roles and audiences have seen enough of her to form an impression or an opinion about her. He basically wanted an actor without a baggage,” the source was quoted as saying. That’s how Kiara came into the picture.

But more than that, it was Kiara’s audition tape that blew director Neeraj Pandey‘s mind. “Kiara’s audition was just amazing. Her chemistry with Sushant during the auditions and rehearsals made her land the role,” added the source.
