When Shoaib Akhtar fell in love with Sonali Bendre

Cricket and Bollywood are the best means of entertainment for people in India and when the two of them decide to hook up they become the talk of the town as it grabs all the attention of the media and the masses.

The relations between Bollywood and Cricket are existing for ages now. So what is this keen attraction between the two?

On December 11, Team India captain Virat Kohli tied the knot with Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma in Italy and got settled after dating for 3 years. Similarly, Zaheer Khan – Sagarika Badge, Yuvraj Singh – Hazel Keech, Harbhajan Singh – Geeta Basra are happily married after long time affairs.

Shoaib Akhtar

At the same time, the names of many Pakistani players have also been associated with Bollywood actresses and one of them is former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar.

Shoaib, who sent many world-class batsmen back to the pavilion during his playing days, also gave his heart to an Indian actress. And the actress who made Akhtar go weak on his knees was none other than gorgeous Sonali Bendre.

Sonali Bendre

As per the reports in Jansatta, Shoaib Akhtar used to follow Sonali a lot. In fact, he even used to carry a photograph of Sonali Bendre in his wallet.

His teammates had also spotted the same on numerous occasions. Shoaib managed to meet his dream girl as well during one of India vs Pakistan fixtures. However, nothing could progress in this particular one-sided love story of Shoaib. The story was so intense that in one of the interviews Shoaib had quoted that he would kidnap Sonali if she refuses his proposal.

However, media reports suggest that Sonali was not interested in this love saga and that pretty much ended the story for Shoaib as well. Now, both Sonali and Shoaib are well settled with their lovely partners.

Sonali Bendre went on to tie the knot to Bollywood director Goldy Behl back in the year 2002. Meanwhile, Shoaib Akhtar married to a young Pakistani lady Rubab in the year 2014.
