Ishant Sharma dismisses AB de Villiers for 20, Virat Kohli celebrates

On the opening day of the second Test between South Africa and India in Centurion, AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla were putting on a show for South Africa, stroking the ball to perfection and building up a crucial partnership after Aiden Markram departed, following a well made 94.

Ravichandran Ashwin was only India’s successful bowler at the stroke of tea, getting the ball to turn and grip on a first-day track, something that no one all around the cricketing world would have expected.

Virat Kohli’s selection was questioned brutally by experts and fans all around the world, as he decided to leave out the in-form Bhuvneshwar Kumar for Ishant Sharma, as he felt that the lanky pacer would be able to extract more bounce from the bounce conducive Centurion surface.

And while Ishant couldn’t get a breakthrough in the first two sessions, he dismissed the well-settled AB de Villiers, just when he was readying to unleash himself.

Ishant got his reward when De Villiers tried to caress him through the off side, but the lack of pace in the surface meant that the Proteas star batsman chopped in onto his off stump.
