Alexandra Hartley makes a hilarious comment after neck injury rules Virat Kohli out of County stint

It looks like not only the fans but also women cricketers from England are disappointed after it got confirmed that Virat Kohli would not play for Surrey in June.

Earlier this month, the India skipper signed a deal with the county outfit to represent them this season. Kohli did so in order to prepare for India’s upcoming tour of England. However, destiny had planned something else, as a neck injury brutally quashed Kohli’s desire to prepare for the England tour.

On Thursday, the BCCI confirmed the news through a statement. The board revealed that Kohli has sustained the injury during an IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Kohli picked up the injury while fielding in the game which was played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 17.

Therefore, the BCCI medical team assessed the India captain and following subsequent scans and a special visit, advised him to undergo a period of rehabilitation under the supervision of the same team.

“He will begin training and subsequently undergo a fitness test at the NCA in Bengaluru from June 15. The BCCI Medical Team is confident that Kohli will regain full fitness ahead of India’s upcoming tours to Ireland and England,” the BCCI release stated.

Not surprisingly, the injury setback has made many disappointed, and one of them is England women team’s left-arm spinner, Alexandra Hartley.

In fact, she was so unhappy that she took to Twitter to express her feelings. At the same time, she made a funny comment on Kohli’s injury, as she tweeted: “Probably got neck ache from carrying RCB throughout the IPL. Massive shame! Get well soon Kohli.”
