Virat Kohli finally comes up with a tweet for ‘brother’ AB de Villiers’ retirement after three days

AB de Villiers announced his retirement on May 23 and shocked the world. The news was hard to digest for fans all around the world. His retirement was the top trend on Twitter, current and former cricketers expressed their emotions on ABD’s retirement on their respective social media accounts.

As fans, it took time for us to accept the news that Mr 360 degree has retired but Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate and skipper Virat Kohli took a lot of time to express himself after his brother’s retirement.

Everyone was waiting for Kohli’s reaction to the shocking decision, here’s what Kohli tweeted on Saturday (May 26):

‘Wish you all the best in everything that you do my brother. You’ve changed the way batting was seen in the time you’ve played international cricket. My best wishes to you and your family for this amazing journey ahead.’

The duo carried RCB on their back during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. They missed out on the playoffs spot by a narrow margin. But Kohli-ABD were the top-scorers for the RCB franchise this season.

Kohli scored 530 runs from 14 games at an average of 48.18 including four half-centuries. On the other hand, De Villiers scored 480 runs from 12 games at an average of 53.33 including six half-centuries.
